Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) was established at Bangalore, India, in 1954 to meet the specialised electronic needs of the Indian defence services. BEL, is a strategic electronics company of the Ministry of Defence. The company specialises in the manufacture of radar systems, communication transmittor-cum-receivers, and studio equipment.
