Job Summary
An Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software to support financial decision-making and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting:
- Record and maintain financial transactions in accounting software.
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process invoices, payments, and vendor reconciliations.
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
3. Taxation & Compliance:
- Calculate and file GST, TDS, and other applicable taxes.
- Ensure timely submission of tax returns and statutory filings.
- Stay updated with changes in tax laws and financial regulations.
4. Payroll & Expense Management:
- Assist in payroll processing and ensure timely salary payments.
- Handle employee reimbursements and maintain expense records.
- Ensure compliance with statutory deductions like PF, ESI, and professional tax.
5. Financial Analysis & Budgeting:
- Analyze financial data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.
- Support management with financial insights and recommendations.
6. Auditing & Coordination:
- Assist in internal and external audits.
- Maintain proper documentation and support audit queries.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.
