Job Description
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant with a strong background in Tally, GST (Goods and Services Tax), and TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) to manage financial transactions, statutory compliance, and reporting for the organization. The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and proficiency in accounting software, specifically Tally ERP.

*Key Responsibilities*:
1. *Accounting & Bookkeeping*:
- Maintain accurate books of accounts for the company using Tally ERP.
- Record day-to-day financial transactions, including sales, purchases, payments, and receipts.
- Prepare and process journal entries, ledgers, and trial balances.
2. *GST Compliance*:
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.).
- Reconcile GST data in Tally with GST returns and make necessary adjustments.
- Prepare GST working papers, including tax computation and reconciliation of input tax credit (ITC).
- Assist in GST audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
3. *TDS Compliance*:
- Calculate and deduct TDS as per the applicable rates under the Income Tax Act.
- Ensure timely and accurate deposit of TDS with the government.
- Prepare TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, etc.) and file them within the due dates.
- Reconcile TDS liabilities with Tally and resolve discrepancies.
- Issue TDS certificates (Form 16/16A) to employees and vendors.
4. *Financial Reporting & Analysis*:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
- Provide reports on tax liabilities, receivables, payables, and other key financial metrics.
- Assist in internal and statutory audits by providing necessary financial documentation and explanations.
5. *Reconciliations*:
- Reconcile bank accounts, vendor accounts, and customer accounts on a monthly basis.
- Ensure proper reconciliation of GST and TDS with government filings.
6. *General Administrative Support*:
- Maintain financial records in an organized manner.
- Liaise with government authorities for GST and TDS-related matters.
- Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and auditors in a timely manner.
7. *Other Tasks*:
- Assist with year-end closing processes and support during audits.
- Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and accounting standards (especially GST and TDS).
- Provide assistance to the finance team and other departments as needed.
