As an Admission Counsellor, you will be responsible for guiding prospective students through the entire admissions process, from initial inquiry to enrollment. You will provide expert advice on programs, courses, admission requirements, and ensure a seamless experience for students. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals, and a deep understanding of the institution's academic offerings.
Key Responsibilities:-
Student Guidance: Provide detailed information and guidance to prospective students about available programs, admission requirements, eligibility criteria, application processes, and deadlines.

Counselling and Consultation: Offer one-on-one consultations to assist students with selecting the right program based on their interests, qualifications, and career goals.

Application Support: Assist students in completing their application forms, ensuring they submit all necessary documents, and help resolve any issues related to the application process.

Follow-up and Tracking: Regularly follow up with prospective students to ensure they have submitted all required materials and are aware of upcoming deadlines.

Communication: Answer inquiries via phone, email, or in-person meetings regarding program details, admissions policies, and procedures. Provide clear and accurate responses.

Event Coordination: Organize and participate in admissions-related events such as open houses, webinars, career fairs, and informational sessions.

Collaboration: Work closely with the admissions team, academic departments, and faculty to ensure alignment of admissions processes and timely communication of any changes.

Data Entry & Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student inquiries, applications, and admissions status in the institution’s database or CRM system.

Document Verification: Review and verify all incoming application documents for completeness and compliance with admission requirements.

Promotions: Promote the institution’s programs through marketing materials, social media, and outreach initiatives to attract prospective students.

Provide Feedback: Offer suggestions to improve the admissions process and student experience based on insights gathered from applicants.

Education: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Business Administration, Marketing) or equivalent work experience.

Experience: Previous experience in an admissions or student services role is highly preferred. Experience in customer service or counseling is a plus.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively convey information and address concerns with clarity.

Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to engage and build relationships with students, parents, and staff.

Organization Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Attention to Detail: Accuracy in data entry, document verification, and student record management.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems or student management software.

Problem-Solving: Ability to handle inquiries and challenges in a professional manner and provide timely solutions.

Knowledge of Admissions Policies: A solid understanding of the institution’s admissions policies, program offerings, and industry standards is an advantage.

Previous experience working in higher education or a similar setting.

Knowledge of international student admission processes (if applicable).

Proficiency in using various social media platforms for outreach and engagement.

Fluency in additional languages (especially for multicultural student populations) is a plus.
