Job Description
We are seeking Analytics Engineers at all experience levels for our Pune, India location. We are especially looking for analytics engineers or data scientists with strong software engineering skills that are familiar with the product development lifecycle and have experience in developing production ready analytics. IITs and NITs preferred.

Unscrambl is an enterprise software focused startup founded by ex IBM Watson Labs researchers building products in the space of Conversational AI and Decision AI. It is headquartered in the US with offices in India, Turkey, Singapore and Philippines. It is solving a critical challenge that business users in enterprises face today, viz. how can they get the right data and insights quickly enough to make informed decisions. At Unscrambl, we aim to solve this problem through 'Conversational Analytics”. This allows any user to ask text or voice questions of their data and receive back a natural language and visual analysis of the most statistically relevant and actionable insight for that user. Unscrambl’s primary product, 'qbo insights', combines NLP, ML, bot technologies and augmented analytics to allow business users ask questions on diverse internal and external datasets such as revenue and sales data, supply chain data, IOT data, customer profiles, transactions, etc.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
You will be working with our product development team to incorporate new statistical, machine learning and other analytic models in our conversational and decision AI platforms. A key part of the work is to make the analytical models robust and production ready, with extensive testing and generalization to make them work on any dataset with no human intervention. Some examples of models are correlation analysis, customer segmentation models, purchase propensity models, recommendation models, churn models, anomaly detection models, time-series prediction models, etc. You'll also be involved in building out NLP features in our platform and developing new NLU and NLG algorithms, including the support for different languages. Finally, we are looking for creative thinkers to help us innovate as we design and implement new and relevant features in our products. Since you’ll be working on our product, you are also responsible for upholding a high standard of code quality, and writing and maintaining tests for the code you write and the models you develop.
SKILLS WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Proficiency in data mining and machine learning techniques
- Understanding of basic software engineering design principles, and the ability to write clean, well-structured, maintainable and testable code
- Strong fundamentals in Computer Science - e.g. data structures, algorithms and time complexity.
- Experience with Python (primarily version 3.7) and its machine learning/data mining toolkits, such as pandas, scipy, and numpy, on Linux
- Experience using data science notebooks like Jupyter
- Good presentation and communication skills, and ability to interact with customers
- Fluency in English is a must
BONUS
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience in working with Big Data and Stream Processing systems (such as Hadoop, Spark, Storm, etc.).
- Experience in telecommunications, financial services, healthcare or aviation domains
- Experience in other programming languages, especially C++ (C++11), Java and Javascript
- Knowledge of specialized analytic fields like text-mining, geospatial analytics, time series analytics, image or video processing, etc.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks, particularly for natural language processing
- Knowledge of data visualization packages, in Python and outside

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
