Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Manager Production with 5-7 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding processes, team management, quality process control, line balancing, and cycle time optimization. The Assistant Manager Production will oversee the fabrication team, ensuring efficient production workflows and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management: Lead and manage the fabrication team, including hiring, training, and evaluating team members to ensure optimal performance.
Welding Process Oversight: Supervise and optimize welding processes, ensuring high-quality welds and adherence to specifications.
Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all fabricated products meet company standards and client expectations.
Line Balancing and Cycle Time Management: Analyze and optimize production lines to balance workloads and reduce cycle times, enhancing overall efficiency.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Project Coordination: Coordinate with engineering, design, and other departments to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere to safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory of materials and equipment, ensuring adequate supply levels and timely procurement.
Reporting: Prepare regular reports on production status, team performance, and project progress for senior management.
Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise in the fabrication process.
Qualifications:
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing, with a focus on welding processes and team management.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in welding techniques and equipment.
Knowledge: Thorough understanding of quality control standards, line balancing, cycle time management, and health and safety regulations.
Technical Skills: Proficient in CAD software and other relevant manufacturing software.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
