Job Description
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Professor in School
of Media & Mass Communication, purely on contractual basis on a fixed salary of Rs.50,000/-
per month(all inclusive)
Assistant Professor (Contractual) Print Journalism One Post
Assistant Professor (Contractual) Electronic Media One Post
Assistant Professor (Contractual) Digital Media One Post
Assistant Professor (Contractual) Mass Communication (Research Base) One Post
Eligibility Criteria (A or B) : Eligibility Criteria – A (1) Master’s degree/PGDJMC with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant /allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University. (2) Ph.D in Mass Communication or in the relevant recruitment subject area (1) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) as prescribed by the UGC (2) At least 3 years of relevant Teaching, research, industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed organization OR
Eligibility Criteria – B (1) Master’s degree/PGDJMC with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant /allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University. (2) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have at least 8 years of relevant Teaching, research, industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed organization.
Desirable: (1) Ph.D. in Mass Communication or in the relevant recruitment subject area. (2) Good professional knowledge of working on the latest equipment and systems to teach theory, operation and application with illustrations in the discipline concerned
