Position: Blasting Foreman

Job Description

Position Overview
The Blasting Foreman is responsible for managing blasting operations on-site, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. They lead the blasting team, manage explosives, and oversee equipment to ensure efficient and effective blasting execution.

Key Responsibilities

Blasting Operations: Plan and execute blast schedules, design blast patterns, and oversee detonations.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations, conduct safety briefings, and manage explosives handling and storage.
Leadership: Supervise and train blasting crews, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Equipment & Materials: Manage blasting equipment, maintain inventories, and conduct regular equipment inspections.
Documentation: Report blasting outcomes, document incidents, and ensure proper record-keeping.

Qualifications

Experience in blasting operations, preferably in construction, mining, or quarrying.
Certified Blaster’s License or equivalent.
Diploma in Mining or related field.
Knowledge of blast design, explosives, and safety protocols.

Skills

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Work Environment

Outdoor, physically demanding, with exposure to noise, vibrations, and dust.
