Job Summary
A Body Massage Therapist provides professional massage therapy services to clients for relaxation, stress relief, pain management, and overall well-being. The role requires expertise in various massage techniques, excellent customer service, and a strong understanding of body anatomy and wellness therapies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Performing Massage Therapy
- Provide different types of massages, such as:
- Swedish massage
- Deep tissue massage
- Aromatherapy massage
- Reflexology
- Thai massage
- Hot stone massage
- Assess client needs and recommend appropriate massage treatments.
- Customize massage techniques based on client preferences and medical conditions.
2. Client Consultation & Service
- Conduct pre-massage consultations to understand health conditions, injuries, or contraindications.
- Educate clients about post-massage care, stretching exercises, and relaxation techniques.
- Maintain a calm and relaxing environment for clients.
3. Hygiene & Safety Compliance
- Maintain high standards of hygiene for massage rooms, linens, and equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure proper sanitization before and after sessions.
- Adhere to health and wellness industry regulations.
4. Customer Relationship & Business Growth
- Build long-term relationships with clients through excellent service.
- Suggest additional services such as spa treatments, facials, or wellness packages.
- Maintain client records, appointment schedules, and feedback for service improvement.
