About NewsGram

NewsGram is a Chicago-based non-profit media organization with a focus on the Indian diaspora, people of Indian origin and study of India and its people (Indology). This 24x7 portal is a typical news portal with a mix of everything (politics, society, culture, economy, entertainment, sports, etc.) with a focus on politics and society. As an independent news organization, we are committed to our core values and beliefs. The emphasis would be on delivering the news with a difference and ethical journalism with a pragmatic approach. We seek to raise issues that the mainstream media misses or does not consider important.

About the work from home job/internship

This is a startup business development project that deals with healthcare social networking platform. We are looking for a full-term trainee/intern who can commit for a minimum of 6 months, with a potential for full-term employment after completion of the training period. Anyone with a flair for marketing, branding, and management can apply. An educational background in medical sciences or health sciences will be a plus.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Develop the business model by implementing the ideas and vision of the company
2. Work with and supervise I.T. team to develop the platform as per specifications
3. Develop marketing ideas to launch the project
4. Reach out to the medical community for digital promotion of the product
5. Handle relevant social media and email communications

Additional Information

Note: The stipend for 6 months will be paid in 2 installments. (i.e., after 3 months each). It is a full-time work-from-home training position, 6 days a week. Undergraduate students not eligible. No other job/internship/gig will be allowed.
