Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Government Tendering and Bid Management
- Tender Identification:
Search and analyze tender portals to identify opportunities specifically for medical equipment procurement. - Bid Preparation:
- Prepare competitive bid documents tailored to healthcare procurement requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather technical, financial, and compliance data for medical equipment tenders.
- Tender Submission:
- Ensure timely and accurate bid submissions on designated portals (e.g., GeM, NIC).
- Monitor tender progress and address clarifications related to medical equipment procurement promptly.
- Portal Management:
Manage accounts on relevant tender platforms, ensuring compliance with healthcare sector requirements. - RFP Preparation and Coordination:
Draft and submit Requests for Proposals (RFPs) focusing on medical equipment specifications.
2. Vendor Management
- Vendor Identification and Onboarding:
Evaluate and onboard vendors specializing in medical equipment supply and services. - Negotiation:
Secure favorable terms with vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement. - Vendor Relationship Management:
Maintain strong partnerships with vendors to guarantee the timely supply of quality medical equipment.
3. Post-Tender Project Management
- Client Engagement:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients during medical equipment project execution. - Issue Resolution:
Resolve challenges related to medical equipment delivery or installation. - Payment Follow-Up:
Ensure timely payments by coordinating between clients and finance teams.
4. Healthcare Sector Business Development
- Market Research and Lead Generation:
Identify and pursue business opportunities in the healthcare sector for medical equipment. - Sales Closure:
Negotiate and finalize agreements with private and public sector healthcare entities. - Sector-Specific Expertise:
Stay updated on the latest trends and regulations in medical equipment procurement.
5. Strategic Growth and Innovation
- Process Optimization:
Enhance procurement and tendering strategies specific to the healthcare sector. - Competitor Analysis:
Monitor competitor activities to refine strategies for medical equipment procurement.
Key Skills and Competencies
Technical Skills
- Expertise in government healthcare procurement processes and platforms.
- Knowledge of medical equipment categories, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with e-procurement portals (e.g., GeM, NIC, E-tender portals) and tools like MS Excel, MS Project, and CRM software.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills tailored to healthcare stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities specific to medical equipment challenges.
