Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Passenger Transportation
-
Pick up and drop off passengers at scheduled or requested locations in a timely manner.

Assist passengers with luggage or entry/exit if needed, especially elderly or disabled passengers.

Follow assigned routes or GPS directions while considering the fastest and safest options.
-
Maintain smooth and professional driving at all times.
2. Vehicle Maintenance & Cleanliness
-
Perform daily inspection of the vehicle before and after use, checking brakes, tires, lights, oil, and fuel.
-
Ensure the cab is clean, both inside and outside, before beginning each shift.
-
Report any mechanical issues or damage to the dispatcher or maintenance team.
-
Refuel the vehicle and ensure all fluids are at appropriate levels.
3. Customer Service
-
Greet passengers in a polite and friendly manner.
-
Provide information or directions when asked and maintain a professional tone.
-
Handle customer complaints or issues calmly, or report them to the supervisor if required.

Ensure passenger safety by following seat belt rules and driving responsibly.
4. Fare Handling & Documentation
-
Use taxi meter or fare app accurately and fairly to calculate trip costs.
-
Collect cash or process card payments as needed, issuing receipts when applicable.

Maintain a daily log of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and working hours.

Submit trip sheets, receipts, or expense reports to the office as instructed.
5. Safety & Compliance
-
Follow all local traffic laws and transport regulations.

Always carry a valid driver’s license, vehicle documents, and identification.
-
Avoid using mobile phones or other distractions while driving.
-
Ensure passengers wear seatbelts and that the vehicle is not overloaded.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Familiarity with local areas, roads, and alternate routes.

Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Physically fit and able to sit for extended periods.

Able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
