Job Description
Zepto is looking for enthusiastic and customer-oriented Cafe Staff to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Pick the orders and pack it.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including restocking supplies.
- Operate cash register and process payments accurately.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to provide excellent service.

Job Summary:
Café staff play an essential role in ensuring a pleasant experience for customers by providing excellent service, preparing high-quality food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate should be friendly, energetic, and passionate about customer service and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service & Order Taking
- Greet customers warmly and create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
- Take customer orders accurately and provide recommendations when needed.
- Process payments through cash registers, POS systems, or mobile payment apps.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally.
2. Food & Beverage Preparation
- Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, including coffee, tea, and specialty beverages.
- Assist in food preparation, including sandwiches, pastries, and other café menu items.
- Ensure food and drinks meet quality and presentation standards before serving.
3. Cleaning & Hygiene Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining, kitchen, and service areas.
- Wash dishes, wipe tables, and restock supplies as needed.
- Follow food safety regulations and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
4. Inventory & Stock Management
- Monitor and replenish stock, including coffee beans, milk, pastries, and utensils.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries properly.
- Report any low-stock or damaged items to the café manager.
5. Teamwork & Collaboration
- Work efficiently with colleagues to ensure smooth café operations.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and management team.
- Support in organizing café events, promotions, and seasonal menu changes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory).
- Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of coffee-making techniques and food handling (training provided if necessary).
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
