Job Description
Responsibilities:
Safely transport passengers to their destinations in a timely and efficient manner.
Greet passengers in a friendly and professional manner and assist them with getting in and out of the taxi.
Ensure the vehicle is clean and well-maintained, both inside and outside.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, including speed limits and traffic signs.
Use GPS systems or maps to navigate effectively and find the quickest and most efficient routes.
Collect the correct fare from passengers, provide change if necessary, and issue receipts as required.
Keep a log of daily activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or accidents that may occur.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanour at all times when interacting with passengers.
Assist passengers with loading and unloading their luggage or belongings when necessary.
Communicate any issues or concerns regarding the vehicle, such as maintenance needs or mechanical problems, to the appropriate authorities.
Skills:
Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
Knowledge of local roads, streets, and landmarks.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to handle difficult or upset passengers and resolve conflicts effectively.
Good time management and organizational skills to ensure punctuality for pick-ups and drop-offs.
Familiarity with GPS systems and navigational tools.
Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in different driving situations.
Excellent problem-solving skills to handle unexpected situations or diversions.
Basic math skills for handling fares and providing change accurately.
Ability to maintain focus and concentrate for long periods.
