CCTV Engineer
Job Description
Install CCTV cameras, DVRs, and related equipment, ensuring proper wiring, cabling, and placement for optimal coverage.
Perform regular maintenance checks, troubleshoot technical issues, and repair faulty equipment to ensure systems are functioning correctly.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Setup:

Install CCTV cameras (IP and Analog), DVRs/NVRs, and related equipment at client sites.

Set up network configurations, remote viewing systems, and mobile access.

Conduct structured cabling, including laying of LAN cables, conduit, and trunking.
System Configuration:

Configure system settings, camera angles, motion detection, storage plans, and access controls.

Integrate CCTV systems with existing security infrastructure if required.

Ensure optimal performance and resolution settings according to client requirements.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Perform routine maintenance and health checks of installed systems.

Identify and resolve issues related to video quality, recording, playback, connectivity, etc.

Replace faulty hardware or components when necessary.
Site Surveys & Reporting:

Conduct site visits to evaluate surveillance needs and recommend suitable equipment.

Create wiring diagrams and documentation for installed systems.

Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance work, and system upgrades.
Client Support:

Provide basic training to clients on how to use and monitor the CCTV system.

Offer on-call or scheduled support for troubleshooting and repairs.

Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding job progress or issues.
