Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Cooking:
- Prepare and cook grilled meats, seafood, and vegetables using traditional and modern BBQ techniques.
- Ensure proper marination, seasoning, and flavor balance in all dishes.
- Monitor cooking temperatures, grill times, and food consistency.
- Operate and maintain grills, smokers, rotisseries, and other cooking equipment.
Menu Development & Innovation:
- Create new BBQ recipes, sauces, and marinades to enhance the menu.
- Experiment with different grilling techniques, wood smoking, and spice blends.
- Stay updated on BBQ trends and regional grilling styles.
Food Safety & Hygiene:
- Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations in food preparation.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of meats, seafood, and ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness of grill stations, cooking utensils, and work areas.
Inventory & Cost Management:
- Monitor stock levels of meats, sauces, and grilling supplies.
- Work with suppliers to source high-quality meats, spices, and BBQ ingredients.
- Control wastage and ensure cost-effective kitchen operations.
Team Collaboration & Customer Satisfaction:
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth food service.
- Interact with customers for special requests, BBQ recommendations, and feedback.
- Train junior staff on grilling techniques, BBQ plating, and food presentation.
