Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Chef to oversee food preparation, ensure high-quality dishes, and maintain kitchen hygiene. The ideal candidate should have expertise in cooking techniques, menu planning, and kitchen management while ensuring an excellent dining experience for customers.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
- Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
- Prepare and cook mezza according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and mezza preparation checklist.
- Monitor mezza quality while preparing.
- Set-up and break down work stations.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Cooking:
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation of food.
- Experiment with new recipes and improve menu items based on customer preferences.
Menu Planning & Cost Control:
- Assist in designing menus, including daily specials and seasonal offerings.
- Manage portion sizes to minimize food waste and control costs.
- Source fresh ingredients while maintaining cost efficiency.
Kitchen Hygiene & Safety Compliance:
- Follow food safety regulations (FSSAI, HACCP, etc.) and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and disposal of ingredients.
- Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure they are clean and in working condition.
Team Management & Coordination:
- Supervise kitchen staff, train junior chefs, and delegate tasks effectively.
- Work closely with waitstaff and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Handle customer feedback regarding food quality and make improvements.
