Job Description

To handle students of Grade 11 and 12, with minimum of 2 years experience in training the students for the board exam. Dedicated and ready to tailor to the needs of the students

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lesson Planning and Teaching:

Prepare and deliver lessons in Chemistry for Grade 11 and Grade 12 students in accordance with the CBSE syllabus.
Develop and implement interactive and engaging lesson plans that meet the learning needs of students.
Use various teaching aids such as demonstrations, experiments, and multimedia tools to enhance learning.
Explain complex concepts in a clear and understandable way, making them engaging and relatable for students.

2. Student Assessment & Feedback:

Evaluate students' understanding through assignments, quizzes, periodic tests, and exams.
Provide regular feedback to students on their progress, strengths, and areas for improvement.
Offer individual support and tutoring sessions to struggling students as needed.
Design and grade internal assessments and mock tests to prepare students for final exams.
Ensure fair grading and maintain accurate records of student performance.

3. Curriculum Delivery & Management:

Follow the CBSE curriculum guidelines and ensure that all topics are covered as per the prescribed time frame.
Modify teaching strategies based on the students’ learning needs, academic performance, and feedback.
Incorporate practical experiments and real-life examples to facilitate a deeper understanding of Chemistry.
Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills among students through interactive teaching methods.

4. Classroom Management:

Maintain discipline in the classroom and create a positive learning environment.
Motivate and encourage students to actively participate in class discussions and activities.
Foster a student-centered approach and encourage students to ask questions and explore topics independently.
Ensure that students understand the importance of safety during practical work and experiments.

5. Parent and Staff Communication:

Regularly communicate with parents regarding the academic progress of their children.
Conduct parent-teacher meetings to discuss student development, academic performance, and areas of concern.
Collaborate with other teachers to improve student learning outcomes and share best practices.
Attend school meetings, conferences, and workshops to stay updated on teaching methods and curriculum changes.

6. Professional Development:

Stay updated on the latest trends, research, and developments in Chemistry education.
Attend professional development programs, workshops, and training sessions.
Participate in school events and activities that promote student engagement and school culture.

7. Research and Academic Support:

Encourage students to conduct their own research, experiments, and projects to gain a deeper understanding of Chemistry.
Guide students in preparing for national and international science competitions and Olympiads.
Provide guidance on career options related to Chemistry, including college admissions, scholarships, and fieldwork opportunities.
