We are looking for a candidate living in Ahmedabad with Basic to Advance knowledge of Chess to work with us at Dhyan Chess Academy run by Woman International Master Dhyani Dave
Its not necessary to have taken professional chess training before nor do you need to be a professional chess player. But you should possess absolute correct knowledge of basic chess
Job roles and requirements include the following:
1.Should possess basic to Advance knowledge of Chess. Its okay if you have not played professionally.
2.Should have decent command over English.
3.Should be ready to work from office in Ahmedabad
Key Responsibilities:

Instruction and Skill Development:

Teach fundamental and advanced chess strategies, tactics, rules, and openings in a clear and engaging manner.

Assess each student’s current skill level and develop individualized plans to support their progress.

Provide structured lessons that include interactive discussions, practice games, and analysis of famous matches.

Use puzzles, game reviews, and timed matches to develop critical thinking, decision-making, and time management skills.

Introduce students to key chess concepts such as checkmate patterns, endgame strategies, and positional play.

Classroom and Practice Management:

Organize group classes, individual coaching sessions, and practice tournaments.

Foster a supportive and focused learning environment where students feel encouraged to participate and ask questions.

Manage time effectively during lessons to balance instruction, play, and review.

Promote good sportsmanship, concentration, and respectful behavior among all players.

Tournament Preparation and Coaching:

Prepare students for school, local, regional, or national tournaments by simulating competitive scenarios and analyzing game outcomes.

Help students understand tournament rules, etiquette, and rating systems.

Attend and supervise students at competitions, offering in-the-moment coaching, encouragement, and feedback.

Analyze students' tournament games to identify strengths and areas for improvement.

Curriculum Development:

Develop and maintain a comprehensive chess curriculum tailored to different age groups and skill levels.

Update lesson plans regularly to reflect new techniques, theories, and trends in the chess world.

Utilize technology, software, and online platforms (e.g., Chess.com, Lichess, or ChessBase) to enhance instruction and provide additional resources for students.

Mentorship and Student Growth:

Act as a mentor and role model, promoting values such as perseverance, focus, resilience, and a love of learning.

Track student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents or guardians.

Encourage students to set goals and celebrate their achievements, both in skill development and sportsmanship.

Identify and nurture talented players, helping them take their skills to the next competitive level.

Promote the chess program within the school or organization to attract new participants.

Organize chess clubs, community events, friendly matches, and school tournaments.

Administrative Duties:

Maintain accurate attendance records, match results, and progress reports.

Monitor and manage chess equipment and supplies, ensuring sets, clocks, and boards are available and in good condition.

Uphold the integrity and fairness of the program by following ethical coaching practices.
