Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Site Engineer to join our team for an exciting bridge construction project in Ganjam, Odisha. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with specific experience in bridge design, construction, and site management. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and other engineers to ensure the successful delivery of the project within the established timeframes, budget, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the construction site, ensuring that all activities comply with design specifications, safety regulations, and local building codes.
Coordinate daily activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and labor on site, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to project timelines.
Conduct quality control inspections and ensure the highest standards of workmanship.
Monitor progress of construction activities and report on any delays, issues, or potential risks.
Prepare and maintain detailed reports on daily site activities, including manpower, equipment, and material usage.
Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to review project plans and make recommendations for improvements.
Review and approve site material deliveries, ensuring they meet the required specifications.
Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards on site.
Provide technical support and guidance to the site team and address any engineering issues that may arise.
Assist with the preparation of project documentation and certifications required for approvals and inspections.
Liaise with clients, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.

Desirable Attributes:

Previous experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects, especially in bridge construction.
Ability to work in remote or semi-urban locations.
Knowledge of the local terrain, climate, and regulatory requirements in Odisha is an advantage.
Willingness to relocate or travel within the region as required.
