CMF and Product Designer - Interior Products
Job Description
We are looking for a talented and creative CMF and Product Designer to join our team,
specializing in interior products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
product design with a focus on color, materials, and finishes. This role requires an eye for
detail, innovative thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional
teams to develop and deliver high-quality interior products.
Key Responsibilities:
● Develop original design concepts and patterns for various surface decor applications, including but not limited to wall panels, doors, table tops and furniture .
● Coordinate with the team to ensure designs are feasible for production and meet quality standards.
● Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and materials into designs.
● Create detailed design specifications and mock-ups for client presentations and production.
● Work with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing design solutions that meet their requirements.
● Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality designs.
● Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to the team.
● Maintain an organized archive of design files and materials.
● Conduct trend research on colors, materials, and finishes to inform design decisions.
● Create and present CMF concepts, palettes, and specifications for interior products.
● Evaluate and select appropriate materials and finishes based on aesthetic, functional, and cost considerations.
● Prototype and test CMF applications to ensure quality and durability.
● Stay updated with the latest advancements in materials and manufacturing processes specific to interior products.
● Maintain CMF libraries and documentation for internal use.
Qualifications:
● Education: Bachelor's degree in Design, Product design or Lifestyle Design
● Experience: 2+ years of experience in product design or a related field.
● Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Interior Design, Product Design, or a related field.
Skills:
● Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Procreate and other relevant design tools.
● Strong portfolio showcasing creative design work.
● Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
● Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
● Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
● Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
● Excellent understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and finishing techniques relevant to interior products.
● Strong sense of color theory and material properties.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Interest and experience in handcrafted art
