CNC Operator
Job Description
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing protective equipment and ensuring a safe working environment.
Documentation: Keep accurate records of production runs, including material usage, machine settings, and time taken.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, machinists, and other operators to ensure high-quality production processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Machine Setup and Operation:
-
Set up CNC machines (milling, turning, grinding, etc.) based on job specifications, blueprints, or technical drawings.

Load materials into machines and input program codes for machine operation.

Operate CNC machines to manufacture parts according to precise specifications and measurements.

Monitoring and Adjusting Machine Performance:
-
Monitor machine performance during production runs and adjust settings as needed to maintain optimal performance and quality.

Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions or operational issues.

Quality Control:
-
Inspect finished products for defects and ensure that they meet required specifications and tolerances.

Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) to check dimensions and quality of parts.

Perform regular maintenance and calibration of machines to ensure accuracy and precision.

Maintenance and Cleaning:
-
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines to ensure they run efficiently and reduce downtime.

Identify and report any machine issues that need attention, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.

Documentation and Reporting:

Keep accurate records of machine operations, materials used, and production quantities.

Document any changes made to machine setups or job specifications for future reference.

Report production progress to the supervisor and communicate any delays or issues in the production process.

Safety and Compliance:

Follow all safety guidelines and company policies related to operating CNC machines and working in a manufacturing environment.

Ensure that all tools and machines are operated in a safe and efficient manner, using the proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

Adhere to workplace safety standards and conduct regular checks on machines to avoid accidents.

Collaboration with Other Teams:

Work closely with engineers, quality control teams, and production supervisors to ensure that production goals are met.

Assist in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues as needed.

Continuous Improvement:

Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve production processes and workflows.

Suggest improvements to reduce machine downtime, improve part quality, and optimize production efficiency.
