Overview
A Counter Sales Executive is responsible for assisting customers at a retail or service counter by providing product information, processing sales, and ensuring excellent customer service. The role involves interacting with walk-in customers, managing stock, handling cash or digital transactions, and maintaining a well-organized sales counter.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and basic sales knowledge.
Key Responsibilities

Customer Assistance & Sales
- Greet and assist walk-in customers with product selection and inquiries.
- Provide accurate information about features, pricing, and promotions.
- Upsell and cross-sell products or services to boost sales.

Billing & Transaction Processing
- Handle cash, credit card, and UPI payments efficiently.
- Issue invoices, receipts, and refunds as per company policy.
- Ensure correct pricing and discounts are applied to sales transactions.

Stock Management & Merchandising
- Maintain a well-organized and visually appealing counter display.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock.
- Assist in stock replenishment and product arrangement.

Customer Relationship & Service
- Address customer queries, concerns, and complaints professionally.
- Provide after-sales support and product recommendations.
- Build relationships with repeat customers to drive loyalty.

Daily Sales Reporting & Coordination
- Maintain sales records and update daily reports.
- Coordinate with the store manager, warehouse, and other departments.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, offers, and new arrivals.
