Job Description

Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled and motivated CPU Verification Engineer to join our high-performance processor development team. You will be responsible for functional verification of CPU cores and subsystems, working on cutting-edge microarchitecture designs. This role demands strong System Verilog/UVM expertise, deep knowledge of CPU pipelines, and a passion for innovation in processor technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute detailed verification plans for CPU cores and microarchitecture blocks

Build and maintain constrained-random UVM testbenches, directed testcases, and coverage models

Verify features such as instruction decode, execution units, caches, MMU, interrupts, power management, and coherency

Work closely with architecture and RTL teams to understand design specs and drive test development

Debug simulation failures, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate on fixes

Track and ensure high functional and code coverage, close coverage gaps

Participate in performance analysis, corner case testing, and regressions

Contribute to methodology and tool improvements in verification flow.

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field

Minimum 4 years of experience in CPU or microprocessor verification

Strong expertise in System

Verilog and UVM methodology

In-depth understanding of computer architecture, including pipelines, ALU, caches, virtual memory, ISA

Hands-on experience with industry-standard simulators (e.g., VCS, Questa, Xcelium)

Strong debugging skills using waveform viewers and log analysis

Proficient in scripting languages like Python, Perl, or TCL

Familiarity with ISA simulators, assembly-level test development, or RISC-V/ARM/MIPS architectures.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

Experience in RISC-V or ARM CPU verification

Knowledge of formal verification techniques

Exposure to performance modeling, power-aware verification (UPF)

Experience in post-silicon validation/debugging
