Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

Pick-up and Delivery:
-
Pick up goods, parcels, or food orders from the assigned location (warehouse, store, restaurant, etc.).

Deliver items to customers’ addresses as per route and schedule.

Ensure timely and accurate delivery of items without damage or tampering.

Customer Service:
-
Greet customers politely and ensure a professional and friendly experience.

Collect payment (if Cash on Delivery – COD) and provide a receipt.

Handle customer queries politely or refer them to the appropriate department.

Navigation and Route Planning:
-
Use GPS or delivery apps to find the best routes and avoid delays.
-
Plan delivery routes to optimize time and fuel efficiency.

Adapt to traffic or roadblock situations by choosing alternate routes.

Package Handling and Safety:
-
Ensure all items are securely loaded and transported.
-
Handle fragile or sensitive items with care.
-
Maintain the condition of the delivery vehicle (bike/scooter/van).

Reporting and Coordination:
-
Report delivery status through mobile apps or to supervisors.
-
Update records of completed deliveries and customer interactions.
-
Inform the manager of any delivery delays, failed attempts, or incidents.

Vehicle Maintenance (if using personal or company vehicle):

Keep the vehicle clean and in good condition.
-
Perform basic checks (fuel, brakes, tires, lights) regularly.

Inform the company about any required repairs or issues.
