Qualification: A candidate should be H. S. L. C. or equivalent examination passed and 2
(two) years certificate course in Textile Technology or Handloom Technology from
any recognized Institute or Certificate Course from the Handloom Training
Institutes of the Department of Handloom & Textiles, Assam.

Pay Scale : Rs. 14,000- 49000
Age: Candidates must not be of age less than 18 years and more than 43 years as on 1st January, 2019.

The Handloom & Powerloom Industry was looked after by the Department of Sericulture & Weaving, Industries, Cooperation etc. With a view to give undivided attention to the Development of Handloom & Textile industries at the Govt. level, a full fledged Directorate of Handloom & Textiles was created in July, 1983 as per report of the Siva Raman Committee.
