Development Engineer
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree
Development engineers identify a company's goals to conceptualize, design, and test a new product or product series
Responsible for planning and designing new software and web applications.
Edits new and existing applications. Implements, testing and debugging defined software components. Documents all development activities.
Responsible for the development and validation of products, systems and components. Analyzing and directing recommendations for problem resolution to the expectation of the client.
Work to improve the performance and efficiency of existing products. Provide support to new business and vehicle-launch teams.
Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
They work in almost every industry and develop products that can vary dramatically.
Trom creating mechanical toys to medical devices, development engineers are involved
Performing market research to determine product needs.
Developing prototypes and gathering feedback from company and project stakeholders.
Analyzing market research data both before product development and during beta testing with a sample target market.
