Job Summary
The Draftsman - Civil/Electrical is responsible for producing detailed technical drawings, plans, and layouts for civil and electrical projects. The role involves converting design concepts into accurate and clear CAD drawings, ensuring that all plans meet industry standards, building codes, and project requirements. The ideal candidate will be proficient in drafting software, knowledgeable in both civil and electrical engineering principles, and capable of collaborating effectively with engineers and architects.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Drawing & Drafting:
- Prepare and update detailed technical drawings, schematics, and layout plans using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Translate engineering designs and specifications into precise drawings for construction and electrical installations.
- Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, architects, and project managers.
Documentation & Quality Control:
- Maintain accurate records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
- Ensure all technical drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Perform quality checks on drawings to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with civil and electrical engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
- Participate in project meetings to discuss design issues and propose solutions.
- Provide technical support during project implementation, addressing drafting-related queries and modifications.
Project Support:
- Assist in preparing material lists, technical specifications, and supporting documentation for project proposals.
- Update drawings based on field measurements and site changes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of drafting processes and procedures.
