Job Description
Position: DTP Operator
Location: Mira Road, Mumbai
Job Type: Full-time
Overview:
The DTP Operator is responsible for creating and editing high-quality print and digital documents. They work with a variety of software tools to design, format, and prepare content for publishing. This role requires a keen eye for detail, creative skills, and proficiency in DTP software and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:Document Creation & Layout:
- Design and format content for print or digital publication (e.g., brochures, newsletters, books, magazines, advertisements, etc.).
- Ensure consistency in design, layout, and typography according to client or company specifications.
- Make sure that all images, text, and graphics are properly aligned, and formatted for clear, professional presentation.
Editing & Proofreading:
- Review documents for accuracy in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting.
- Edit images, illustrations, and graphics as needed to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Ensure that all required elements (e.g., logos, branding, and images) are included in the layout.
Software Proficiency:
- Utilize desktop publishing software like Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Convert files from one format to another (e.g., PDF, JPG, PNG, EPS, TIFF) for printing and digital use.
- Ensure the final output is correctly formatted for print or digital delivery.
Print Preparation:
- Prepare print-ready files and ensure they meet the standards of printing companies or digital platforms.
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the printing process, such as color correction or resolution adjustments.
- Liaise with printers or other departments to ensure timely and accurate production.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with designers, writers, and project managers to understand design requirements and deadlines.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure that all materials meet the branding and style guidelines.
Education:
- Higher Secondary / Bachelors degree/ Diploma
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly advantageous.
