Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with hands-on experience in panel wiring to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, a problem-solving mindset, and expertise in the design, assembly, and installation of electrical panels. You will be responsible for managing electrical projects from design to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Panel Design and Wiring:
Design, assemble, and wire electrical control panels, distribution panels, and other electrical enclosures for industrial or commercial applications.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Ensure proper wiring of components such as circuit breakers, relays, terminal blocks, and transformers inside panels.
Electrical Systems Installation:
Oversee the installation of electrical panels, including wiring, connections, and testing for functionality.
Perform troubleshooting and repairs on electrical panels and systems.
Testing and Commissioning:
Conduct functional testing of electrical panels and control systems to verify proper operation.
Perform tests for electrical continuity, insulation resistance, and safety compliance.
Coordinate commissioning of new installations, ensuring all equipment operates within specified parameters.
Quality and Compliance:
Ensure adherence to electrical codes, standards, and company-specific requirements.
Review electrical designs for compliance with safety standards and best practices.
Maintain accurate documentation of panel wiring diagrams, specifications, and modifications.
Project Coordination:
Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and project managers to deliver electrical systems on time and within budget.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians regarding wiring practices and panel assembly.
Maintenance and Upgrades:
Perform regular inspections and maintenance of electrical panels and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Recommend upgrades or modifications to improve system performance or meet regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2-8 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically with panel wiring and control systems.
Hands-on experience in panel design, wiring, and assembly, including PLCs, relays, transformers, and other control components.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with industrial automation, motor control, or PLC programming.
Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and SCADA systems.
Additional Information:
Duration of Notice Period: Immediate - 30 days
Work Environment: Office-based or remote work based on the company’s policy.
Expected Deliverables: Successful handover of all active projects, training for the successor (if applicable), and completion of all administrative requirements.
