Job Description
We are seeking a skilled candidate to install, maintain, and troubleshoot cabling systems and equipment, including network and AV devices. The role involves ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency during installations, and providing ongoing technical support. Experience with network hardware, cabling standards, and troubleshooting required.
Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Setup of Network and AV Systems:
-
Install cabling systems for network infrastructure (Ethernet, fiber optics) and AV devices (audio, video systems).

Set up and configure network hardware (routers, switches, servers) and AV equipment (projectors, microphones, speakers).
-
Work with the senior engineering team to implement new network setups, including wireless and wired solutions.

Ensure proper cable management during installations to maintain system integrity and prevent future faults.

Maintenance & Upgrades:
-
Conduct routine maintenance checks on existing systems and devices to ensure optimal performance.
-
Assist in upgrading network and AV systems as needed, following manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.

Identify areas of improvement in existing setups and provide recommendations for enhancing system performance and efficiency.

Troubleshooting & Technical Support:
-
Diagnose and troubleshoot network and AV system failures, including cabling issues, connectivity problems, and hardware faults.

Assist clients and the internal team in resolving technical issues by providing step-by-step solutions, repairs, or replacements of faulty equipment.

Provide remote or onsite support for clients during system downtimes, addressing their issues promptly and efficiently.

Test and verify systems after troubleshooting to ensure full functionality.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

Ensure that all installations meet industry standards (e.g., TIA/EIA standards for cabling, safety regulations).

Perform quality checks on all installed systems, testing network and AV equipment for proper operation.

Adhere to safety guidelines during all phases of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting to prevent accidents and equipment damage.

Maintain thorough documentation of all work completed, including system diagrams, troubleshooting logs, and installation reports.

Customer Interaction & Support:

Provide exceptional customer support, both onsite and remotely, by answering technical questions and assisting with device configurations.

Provide customers with basic training on how to use installed AV or network systems.

Build rapport with clients by addressing their needs and providing reliable technical assistance.

Collaboration & Team Support:

Work closely with senior engineers and technicians to understand best practices and gain exposure to more complex tasks.

Participate in team meetings to review progress, resolve issues, and learn from senior team members.

Offer feedback and suggestions for improving processes and enhancing team performance.
