Job Description

Job Summary

An Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and wiring in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The role requires technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and adherence to safety regulations to ensure efficient and safe electrical operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Installation & Maintenance

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, outlets, circuit breakers, switches, and panels.
Set up and troubleshoot lighting, generators, transformers, and other electrical components.
Work with single-phase and three-phase power systems.

2. Troubleshooting & Repairs

Diagnose and fix electrical faults, short circuits, and power outages.
Use testing tools like multimeters and circuit testers to detect issues.
Ensure repairs follow industry safety standards and local electrical codes.

3. Wiring & Equipment Installation

Plan and lay out electrical wiring and conduit systems based on blueprints.
Install electrical panels, motor controls, security systems, and industrial machinery.
Ensure all electrical connections are properly insulated and secured.

4. Safety & Compliance

Follow electrical codes, safety standards, and building regulations.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent electrical hazards.
Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to avoid accidents.

5. Reporting & Documentation

Maintain records of electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs.
Report any safety hazards, faulty equipment, or required upgrades.
