Job Responsibilities:
- Help in sketching, illustrating, and creating new designs for fashion collections.
- Collaborate with senior designers in developing ideas for garments, accessories, or textiles.
- Stay updated with current fashion trends, colours, fabrics, and styles by researching fashion magazines, online platforms, and attending fashion shows.
- Provide trend analysis to support design development.
- Assist in sourcing fabrics, trims, and accessories for designs.
- Help in organizing and maintaining a fabric library or materials sample catalogue.
- Prepare technical flat sketches for garment designs using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software or hand sketches.
- Assist in creating tech packs that include garment specifications.
- Attend fittings with models to ensure design concepts are executed properly.
- Provide feedback on fit, alterations, and fabric behaviour during the fitting process.
- Help track and manage the timeline of production processes.
- Assist in organizing patterns, fabric samples, and ensuring everything is ready for manufacturing.
- Help organize design meetings, keep records of design ideas and product development.
- Assist with data entry, maintaining spreadsheets, or preparing reports on design progress.
- Help in preparing designs for photoshoots or lookbooks.
- Assist in organizing presentations and ensuring all design samples are ready.
