Job Description

·         Proven 0 to 4 years’ experience in field sales, preferably in the construction or building materials industry.

·         Strong networking and relationship-building skills.

·         Knowledge in hardware sales

·         Good communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.

·         Ability to work independently and travel extensively to meet clients.

·         Diploma, ITI, Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

·         Knowledge of construction materials, techniques, and industry regulations is a plus. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales and Business Development:

    • Promote and sell a range of construction and building materials, including [insert specific products, e.g., cement, tiles, insulation, plumbing materials, etc.].

    • Identify new business opportunities by prospecting potential clients within the construction, real estate, and building sectors.

    • Develop and execute strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.

    • Engage with architects, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders in the construction industry to understand their needs and recommend suitable products.

    • Maintain an active pipeline of potential clients and business leads.

  2. Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients.

    • Regularly visit clients’ worksites, project sites, and offices to understand their ongoing needs and ensure product satisfaction.

    • Provide ongoing support and technical advice to clients on product usage, applications, and industry best practices.

    • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues regarding products or services promptly and professionally.

  3. Market and Product Knowledge:

    • Stay updated on the latest trends in the construction and building materials industry, including new products, technologies, and regulations.

    • Conduct thorough product presentations and demonstrations to clients, showcasing the features, benefits, and value of the products.

    • Understand competitors' offerings in the market to effectively position the company’s products.

  4. Sales Reporting and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and follow-ups in CRM systems.

    • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to management on sales performance, challenges, and opportunities.

    • Ensure timely submission of all sales documents, contracts, and agreements.

    • Submit weekly or monthly reports on achieved sales targets, new prospects, and market conditions.

  5. Negotiation and Closing Sales:

    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with clients while maintaining profitability for the company.

    • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotes to clients.

    • Close sales deals and ensure successful contract signing.

    • Handle payment and credit terms in coordination with the finance department.

  6. Site Visits and Product Installation Assistance:

    • Conduct regular site visits to oversee product installation or application, ensuring proper usage and customer satisfaction.

    • Collaborate with installation teams or contractors to ensure smooth execution of projects.

  7. Collaboration and Teamwork:

    • Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, logistics, and customer service to ensure seamless operations and client satisfaction.

    • Share feedback from clients with the product development or marketing teams to help enhance product offerings and strategies.

  8. Customer Feedback and Market Insights:

    • Gather feedback from customers about the performance of products and services.

    • Use market intelligence and customer insights to contribute to the company’s strategic planning and product development.
