Field Sales Executive
Job Description
The Field Sales Executive is responsible for promoting and selling the company’s products and services,
building and maintaining strong customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and enhancing the
company’s brand presence in the market. This role involves identifying new business opportunities,
managing customer accounts, and ensuring that the sales process runs smoothly from prospecting
through to closing deals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Generation & Target Achievement:
◦ Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned territory or market
segment.
◦ Meet or exceed individual sales targets and contribute to overall team sales goals.
◦ Conduct regular market research to understand customer needs and industry trends.
◦ Generate leads through various channels such as networking, cold calling, and
referrals.
2. Customer Relationship Management:
3. ◦ Build and maintain long-term, positive relationships with clients, ensuring high
levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
◦ Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout the sales process.
◦ Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional
manner.
Product Knowledge & Sales Presentation:
◦ Develop in-depth knowledge of the company’s products and services to effectively
communicate their features and benefits to clients.◦ Deliver engaging and persuasive product presentations and demonstrations to
potential clients.
◦ Assist clients in understanding how the products can meet their needs or solve
problems.
4. Sales Reporting & Administration:
◦ Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales progress
◦ Prepare and submit regular sales reports to the Sales Manager or Senior Leadership
team.
◦ Coordinate with other departments (e.g., marketing, customer service, MIS Accounts
etc ) to ensure smooth order fulfilment and delivery.
5. Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence:
6. ◦ Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and emerging opportunities to stay
ahead in the industry.
◦ Provide feedback to the product development and marketing teams regarding
customer preferences and product performance.
Sales Negotiation & Closing Deals:
7. ◦ Lead negotiations with potential clients and close sales deals effectively.
◦ Create and present customised proposals and quotations.
◦ Ensure that all deals are profitable and align with company policies.
Customer Support & After-Sales Services:
◦ Ensure a seamless handover of accounts to the post-sales team, assisting in the
onboarding and implementation process if needed.
◦ Maintain contact with customers after the sale to ensure satisfaction, promote
retention, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
1. Education:
◦ Bachelor’s degree in any discipline ,Relevant work experience can be considered in
lieu of formal education.
2. Experience:
◦ Previous experience in sales, business development, or customer service, preferably
within the industry (e.g., FMCG, Electrical, Electronics, Rural Sale, Rural Banking ,
Micro finance, Insurance etc.).
◦ Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer accounts.
3. Skills:
◦ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
◦ Persuasive and confident in presenting products and services to clients.
◦ Negotiation and Sales closing skills with the ability to handle objections
professionally.
◦ Time management and organisational skills.
◦ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)4. Attributes:

◦ Self-motivated and proactive in identifying and pursuing sales opportunities.

5. Additional Qualifications (Optional):
◦ Must have two wheeler and willing to travel extensively.
◦ Must good proficiency in Kannada and English .
◦ Multilingual skills (depending on market region).

targets.
