Job Description

Managing the distributor Secondary sales & payment collection for Garhwal Region. New counter visits & new towns visit for expanding the distribution network. Atleast 10-15 days upcountry travel will be required in a month. ATL & BTL activities to be performed. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Distributor Management:

    • Manage and oversee the performance of distributors in the Garhwal region, ensuring smooth operations and timely deliveries.

    • Monitor secondary sales to ensure alignment with primary sales targets and objectives.

    • Conduct regular meetings with distributors to discuss performance, address issues, and improve sales strategies.

    • Track inventory levels at distributor points to ensure stock availability and prevent stockouts.

  2. Payment Collection:

    • Collect outstanding payments from distributors and ensure timely settlement of accounts.

    • Monitor and track credit terms, ensuring distributors adhere to payment schedules.

    • Coordinate with the finance team to resolve any payment-related issues or discrepancies.

  3. Expansion of Distribution Network:

    • Visit new counters and establish relationships with retailers to expand the distribution network in the region.

    • Explore new towns and untapped markets to drive product penetration and increase market share.

    • Identify potential distribution partners in new locations and onboard them effectively.

  4. Sales and Target Achievement:

    • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the region.

    • Conduct regular market visits and monitor sales performance to ensure alignment with company goals.

    • Implement sales strategies, promotional offers, and product placement to maximize sales.

  5. ATL & BTL Activities:

    • Implement Above the Line (ATL) marketing strategies, including media advertising, promotions, and brand visibility campaigns.

    • Organize Below the Line (BTL) activities such as in-store promotions, product demonstrations, and events to drive customer engagement and product awareness.

    • Coordinate with the marketing team to execute ATL and BTL campaigns effectively in the region.

  6. Reporting and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of sales, payments, distributor activities, and market visits in the CRM or other company systems.

    • Submit regular sales reports, including sales performance, market feedback, and competitor analysis, to management.

    • Provide recommendations to improve sales strategies and customer engagement based on field insights.

  7. Market Intelligence:

    • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends in the Garhwal region to identify opportunities and threats.

    • Collect customer feedback, identify emerging needs, and inform the product team about potential improvements or new product ideas.

  8. Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key distributors, retailers, and customers.

    • Provide exceptional customer service and address any concerns or issues raised by distributors or customers promptly.

    • Educate and train distributors and retailers on product knowledge, selling techniques, and promotional strategies.

  9. Travel and Territory Coverage:

    • Travel extensively within the Garhwal region, including remote and upcountry locations (10-15 days per month), to ensure effective sales operations and distributor management.

    • Plan and manage travel schedules efficiently to maximize time spent on sales and distributor visits.
