Job Description
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
- Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
- Prepare and cook mezza according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and mezza preparation checklist.
- Monitor mezza quality while preparing.
- Set-up and break down work stations.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Prepare and cook appetizers, main courses, and desserts as per menu specifications.
- Ensure food is cooked and presented to high-quality standards.
- Experiment with new recipes and food trends to enhance the menu.
- Maintain an organized and clean kitchen environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for fresh ingredients.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly used and maintained.
- Follow health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all cooking and food preparation areas.
- Adhere to restaurant or catering establishment policies regarding quality control.
- Work closely with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth service.
- Take customer feedback into consideration for improving food quality and menu options.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff when needed.
