Key Responsibilities:
1. Forklift Operation:
-
Safely operate a forklift to move materials and products within the warehouse, including loading, unloading, and stacking goods.

Transport goods to and from storage areas, loading docks, and production lines as required.
-
Ensure that products are properly stored and stacked in a safe and organized manner to optimize space and facilitate easy access.
2. Loading and Unloading Shipments:
-
Assist with unloading goods from delivery trucks and loading them onto storage racks or designated areas in the warehouse.

Verify the quantity and condition of goods upon receipt and before unloading, ensuring proper documentation is completed.

Ensure that incoming goods are accurately stored and that outgoing shipments are prepared and ready for dispatch.
3. Inventory Management:
-
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by moving and organizing products according to company standards.

Conduct periodic stock checks, assisting with inventory control procedures, and ensuring that inventory records are up-to-date.

Report any discrepancies in inventory or damaged products to the warehouse supervisor or manager for further investigation.
4. Safety and Compliance:
-
Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper handling of materials and following forklift operation safety guidelines.

Perform daily safety checks on the forklift before use, including inspecting the mechanical condition, checking fuel levels, and ensuring that safety equipment (e.g., seat belts, horns) is functioning properly.

Report any maintenance or mechanical issues with the forklift to the maintenance team or supervisor to ensure prompt repairs.

Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations, as well as any company-specific safety protocols, to maintain a safe work environment.
5. Equipment Maintenance and Care:

Maintain and clean the forklift and associated equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.

Perform minor repairs or adjustments to the forklift as needed or report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team.

Keep the warehouse area clean and free of obstacles to ensure safe and efficient forklift operation.
6. Communication and Coordination:
-
Work closely with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Communicate effectively with other team members to prioritize and execute tasks, such as moving materials and preparing shipments for dispatch.

Coordinate with supervisors regarding inventory updates, delivery schedules, and any other operational issues.
7. Documentation and Reporting:
-
Accurately record the movement of goods, ensuring that all shipments and receipts are logged in the system.

Assist in preparing and updating reports on inventory levels, material movements, and any discrepancies or damages encountered.

Maintain proper documentation for each forklift transaction, including log sheets and delivery forms.
8. Support Other Warehouse Activities:
-
Assist in general warehouse duties such as packing, sorting, labeling, and organizing products when not operating the forklift.

Participate in warehouse stock-taking and assist with other warehouse projects as needed.
