Job Description
The health coach position is a very crucial role because they are the face of the organization since they interact with the clients on a regular basis. It is a doctor-minus-one kind of role. In case of any assistance required at any point in time throughout the program, the clients will reach out to the health coaches first because they are their first point of contact. In case a doctor’s intervention is required at any point in time throughout the program, it is through the health coaches that the clients will get in touch with the doctors. So closely collaborating and working with the doctor’s team is also going to be another major responsibility.
The major responsibilities of a health coach will revolve around client engagement, where you interact with the clients that you are assisting on an everyday basis to understand how they are coping with the program and give them the right kind of health guidance, motivation, and support that is required throughout the program. You will also be responsible for educating the clients on various health management strategies, lifestyle modifications, and overall wellness practices. Additionally, you will also be responsible for collecting their vitals, recording the data, and monitoring the same to track their overall progress.

We are Amura Health, a 6-year-old healthtech startup based out of Chennai, currently operating in Chennai itself. We are in the B2C side of business, where we reverse chronic diseases. When I say chronic diseases, we cater to ailments like thyroid, diabetes, arthritis, PCOD, PCOS, hypertension, obesity, gut-related issues, and so on. We reverse these using food and nutrition. We have treated around 12,000+ customers so far across multiple different countries. We position ourselves as a luxury product, so the kind of clientele we have fall under that category, like founders of organizations, CEOs, investors, celebrities, government officials, etc.
We have a team of doctors who work full-time with us, and these doctors develop protocols for the clients based on their reports and diagnosis. These protocols need to be followed by the clients for a minimum of 90 days in order to start seeing the reversal. The health coach comes into the picture once the doctors develop the protocol. It is from that point until the end of the program that the clients will be the complete responsibility of the health coaches.
