Research Associate Agricultural Statistics  job position in Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute (IASRI)

Qualification: Ph.D. in Bioinformatics / Agricultural Statistics/ Statistics / Computer Science / Computer Application or equivalent; or Master's degree holders in Bioinformatics with the integrated degrees like B.Tech. & M.Tech (5 years) & having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average, with at least 02 years research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship/ Training/ other engagements.

Publish research paper will be desirable; or Graduates with three years Bachelor's degree, who have acquired professional Master's degree (3 years) like M.Sc.(Ag.), MCA, M.Tech. in Bioinformatics & having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average, with at least 02 years research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship/ Training/ other engagements; or Master's degree in Bioinformatics with 3 years Bachelor's degree and 2 years Master's degree and have qualified NET* or equivalent examination . Knowledge in System Biology / Statistical and computational Genomics / Bioinformatics. Knowledge in computer programming. Expertise in use of R / other Bioinformatics software.  Published research paper will be desirable.

*NET examination, any national level examination conducted by the Central Govt. Departments/ agencies for admission to Ph.D. programme are considered as NET for the purpose of RA/SRF. The following are some of the NET examinations:  CSIR-CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test , MHRD-Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering admission. o DBT-Biotechnology Eligibility Test & Test conducted in Bioinformatics by Bioinformatics National Consortium DAE-JEST & JGEEBILS, NBHM o ICMR-JRF Entrance Examination o lCAR-Test conducted by lCAR for admission to Ph.D. programme.

Pay Scale : Consolidated Rs. 40,000/- per month + 30% HRA for Ph.D holders and consolidated Rs. 38000/- per month + 30% HRA for Master Degree. TDS will be deducted as per norms.

Age Limit: Age should not be more than 40 years for the post of Research Associate as on date of interview. 5 years relaxation for SC/ST/ women candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates as on date of interview.
