Job Description
Job Summary:
The Interventional Cardiologist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases through minimally invasive procedures. The role requires expertise in angioplasty, stent placement, catheterization, and emergency cardiac interventions.
- Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures, including angioplasty and stent placement.
- Evaluate and diagnose patients using advanced imaging techniques and other diagnostic tools.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure integrated and high-quality patient care.
- Mentor and educate medical students, residents, and fellows in cardiology practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and research in cardiovascular medicine.
- Manage patient follow-up care and monitor treatment progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Consultation & Diagnosis:
- Evaluate and diagnose cardiac conditions through clinical assessments, ECG, echocardiograms, and imaging tests.
- Develop personalized treatment plans for patients with coronary artery disease, heart valve disorders, and other cardiac conditions.
- Counsel patients on lifestyle modifications, medications, and preventive care.
Interventional Procedures & Emergency Care:
- Perform angioplasty, stent placement, balloon dilation, and catheter-based procedures.
- Conduct coronary and peripheral interventions, pacemaker implantations, and thrombectomy.
- Handle emergency cardiac cases, including acute myocardial infarction (heart attacks).
Collaboration & Research:
- Work with cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, and critical care teams to manage complex cases.
- Stay updated on advancements in interventional cardiology techniques and research.
- Participate in clinical trials, medical conferences, and academic research.
