Job Description

What is the IS Analyst-Access Control responsible for?
  • IS Analysts are responsible for providing Identity Access Management services to provision (create, modify, disable / delete) access accounts, produce access account listings, consult on access needs, troubleshoot and resolve access-related incidents. Services performed apply to in-scope systems such as domain / network, application, database, and server / OS that are initiated, carried out and documented through incidents and service requests. They build and maintain knowledge of in-scope systems and maintain and follow documented procedures that comply to security policies and standards
  • This position is on the Account Administration Team within Identity Access Management. The candidate will be responsible for performing access request processing, account administration and support Windows, Unix, Linux, AS400 server environments. Support will also be provided in Windows Active Directory, Azure, O365 and Netapp. Access requests are processed and ticketed, so that work may be managed via ticketing queues (utilizing ServiceNow). Tier 2 support is performed where necessary to resolve account administration issues across various platforms and applications including high complexity issues. Development and support of access-related tools, scripts to aid in automation of access provisioning. Customer interaction is required to gather additional request information, troubleshoot issues, and respond to inquiries as appropriate. This work has stringent accuracy expectations as part of Key Controls and targeted timelines, requiring a detail oriented and quality driven individual

What are the ongoing responsibilities of IS Analyst – Access Control?
  • Handle access account administration work coming from internal customers, business partners and IAM; this work has stringent accuracy, service level expectations, and must meet all compliance controls. Creates, changes and deletes user accounts per client automated and manual requests
  • Handle access account administration work coming from Access Governance team; this work has stringent timeline requirements as part of key controls
  • Where access requests require account administration activities to be completed by multiple groups, coordinate smooth hand-offs to other technology and business groups
  • Coordinates or delivers high-quality, rapid and relevant moderate to complex client service, education and/or consultation in support of issues, programs, and/or projects
  • Responsible for reporting / maintaining required database(s) and ensuring the integrity and/or validity of the data
  • Maintain accurate access account information within specific Identity Access Store databases as part of internal audit controls
  • Provide data in response to Access Governance related audit inquiries from internal and external auditors within requested timelines; any extensions required must be requested in advance of deadline
  • Gather, compile, maintain and publish key documentation to meet required evidence of controls as work is performed
  • Contributor to ensure internal processes and procedures are documented clearly and remain current
  • Contributor to IAM’s goal of workflow/process automation
  • As required, initiate meetings by involving leads with various technology teams for any validation queries, projects or challenges faced during Access Management efforts
  • 24x7 Support via ‘On call’ and Hotline access on a rotational basis
  • Responsible for QC of SOX / SOC1 related access administration activities
  • Manages moderate to complex issues, problems, changes and/or requests with high severity and/or impact individual level components or those which are enterprise-wide in nature
  • Applies project management principles, skills, experience and best practices
  • Creates project proposals, design documents and extensive documentation
  • Manages FTT to the resolution and recovery of complex issues and/or requests
  • Analyzes more moderate to complex issues to identify remediation actions to be taken
  • Takes actions to resolve issues to the Business, escalating the process as necessary per established escalation policies
  • Acts as the point of contact and escalation for support groups around access related issues
  • Assesses impact and progress during major issues to ensure escalation is timely and appropriate
  • Process oriented and logical mind that can help shape and develop new and improve existing processes; primarily around automation; identifying gaps and risks and proposing solutions to them
  • Adhere to Corporate Information Security policy and procedures relating to Access Control and Account Administration
  • Work within stringent Service Levels and Timeline Requirements. Comply with all Departmental, Company, Security and Audit policies and procedures
  • Train/mentor peers and less-experienced staff in best practices
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred – B.Sc, BCA, MCA or MSc, BE
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience: Information Systems (Preferred)
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in technology services and processes, where provisioning access and/or process automation was part of your responsibility. (Required)
  • Understanding of Microsoft Windows Authentication, Group Memberships and Design, Account settings
  • Work experience on O365 (Preferred)
  • Understanding of Azure - AWS (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange, Printer, and Shared Folder (on Windows File System Servers) access administration; experience is preferred
  • Previous background administering/engineering Microsoft Active Directory
  • Proficient with office tools such as Visio, Microsoft Excel and other tools used to manage large reports and requests
  • Working knowledge of remote technologies and administrative account controls for VPN, OWA, and Mobile devices
  • Experience managing work via Service Now or similar ITSM system used for service request and incident management
  • Experience following procedures closely for key controls and being known for quality work
Licenses And Certifications
  • Desired – Microsoft Windows Certifications, UNIX, ITIL V3, Security & Audit
Additional Desirable Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Unix, Linux, AS400 (iSeries), Windows, Azure platforms
  • Working knowledge of CyberArk Privileged Account Management
  • Working knowledge of Service Now ticketing tool
  • Working knowledge of EGRC Archer
  • Windows PowerShell and Unix scripting
  • Cloud technologies – Amazon Web Services, Azure, O365
  • Working knowledge of Identity Access Management tools such as Identity IQ & OKTA
  • Experience working in the Financial Services industry
