Job Description
Location: Hyderabad, Miyapur
Job Type: Full-time
Experience: 1-3 years preferred
Roles & Duties:

Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
-
Cut, bend, and assemble metal components as per specifications.
-
Operate hand tools, machines, and welding equipment.
-
Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
-
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Key Skills:
-
Knowledge of fabrication techniques and tools.
-
Ability to read technical drawings.
-
Welding skills (arc, MIG/TIG – as applicable).
-
Good physical stamina.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly and Fitting Work
-
Interpret technical drawings, sketches, and diagrams to understand assembly and fitting requirements.
-
Fit and assemble components using hand tools, machines, and welding equipment as required.
-
Perform fabrication and fitting of parts for mechanical structures, equipment, or systems.
-
Drill, tap, file, grind, and shape parts to required specifications.
-
Align and fit machine parts using various tools and jigs to ensure accurate functioning.
Installation and Commissioning
-
Install mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment at the site or in the workshop as per technical guidelines.
-
Support in setting up newly installed equipment by ensuring it meets the correct parameters and operates efficiently.

Assist engineers and technicians in commissioning and trial runs.
Maintenance and Repairs
-
Carry out routine preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines, equipment, and tools.
-
Identify faults or wear and tear in mechanical parts and replace or repair them as needed.
-
Perform oiling, greasing, and lubrication of moving parts to ensure smooth functioning.
-
Maintain records of maintenance tasks, tools used, and components replaced.
Quality and Safety Compliance
-
Ensure that all work is performed according to safety standards and company policies.
-
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe working environment.
-
Adhere to quality standards during fitting, assembly, and repair jobs to avoid rework or faults.
-
Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately to supervisors.
Tool and Equipment Handling

Operate various mechanical tools such as wrenches, torque tools, hammers, cutting tools, drills, grinders, etc.

Handle welding, gas cutting, and machining operations under supervision if required.

Keep tools and equipment in good working condition by cleaning and storing them properly.
Coordination and Reporting
-
Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and fellow fitters to complete assigned jobs on time.
-
Assist in inventory control by informing superiors about low stock of consumables, spares, and tools.
-
Submit daily activity reports and maintenance logs as instructed.
