JRF/Project Assistant Botany recruitment in CSIR-NBRI purely temporary positions
Junior Research Fellow/ Project Assistant II/07 Post
Essential Qualifications: For JRF (Project): M.Sc. in Botany /Biochemistry/Biotechnology/
Genetics/Plant Science with CSIR/UGC/ ICAR/DBT NET-JRF/LS /GATE
qualifications. For PA II: M.Sc.(55%) in one of the subject.
Project & Desirable:
a .Molecular Biology & Biotechnology - Experience with
medicinal plants using HPLC analysis, experience on GBS, SNP Typing and
association analysis. OR Previous experience in DNA profiling/ molecular
phylogeny studies, SSR typing experience on 96- capillary platform.
b. Ecology & Environmental Science /Molecular Biology
& Biotechnology / Microbiology - Research experience in area of plant
physiology. OR Working experience in enzymology and protein profiling. or
Research experience in area of plant physiology. OR Working experience in
enzymology and protein profiling. or Working experience in area Of plant
microbe interaction.
c. Bioresources and sustainable livelihoods in North East
India" - Previous experience in plant taxonomy/isolation and characterization
of bioactive molecules from medicinal plants, handling LC-MS/MS, NMR, IR, HPLC,
HPTLC etc. pharmacology, chemotyping, pharmacognosy, herbal product
development, in- vivo biological activities using animal model system (rat and
mouse), nanoparticles fabrication, nano-formulation development and its
characterization, agro- technologies development

Research Associate /03 Post
Qualification: Ph.D. in Botany/ Plant Science/
Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Environmental Science/Life Science
Desirable:
a .Molecular Biology & Biotechnology -Experience in
non-flowering plant (Lichen, bryophyte, pteridophytes, fungi) sampling,
identification, curation, data analysis and molecular studies
b. Ecology & Environmental Science /Molecular Biology
& Biotechnology / Microbiology - Experience in plant sampling population
genetics, molecular markers and DNA sequencing analyses and molecular
phylogenetic.
c. Bioresources and sustainable livelihoods in North East India" - Experience in plant sampli plant taxonomy pharmacognosy, isolation a characterization of bioact molecules from medicina plants, chemica fingerprinting pharmacology formulat herbal nanoparticl development, and thei fabrication characterization etc. N/A
Age: 35 years
Remuneration : Rs.38000 - 40000
Project Assistant Level II/02 Post
Qualification: M.Sc. (55%) in Botany/ Plant Science/ Environmental Science/ Microbiology with 02 years of experience after M.Sc. 3 .Desirable: Experience in taxonomical studies and field survey of flowering or non-flowering plants or Previous experience in non- flowering plants (Lichen, bryophyte, pteridophytes, fungi), surveys, identification, taxonomic research and/or DNA profiling studies
