Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including managing financial records, assisting with bookkeeping, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. As a Junior Accountant, you will work closely with senior accountants to learn and grow within the finance and accounting field.

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping & Record Keeping:
-
Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions and entering data into accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP).

Assist with managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring that invoices are processed and payments are made on time.

Perform data entry for expense receipts, invoices, and payment records.

Bank Reconciliation:
-
Reconcile bank statements with company records to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank balances and the company’s general ledger.

Assist with Financial Reports:

Assist in preparing financial statements, such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.

Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management and stakeholders.

Review and help prepare reports to ensure they comply with accounting standards and regulations.

Assist in Tax Filing and Compliance:
-
Support the preparation of tax returns, including VAT, GST, TDS, or other relevant taxes.

Ensure that all tax filings and payments are made on time and in compliance with applicable regulations.

Maintain records related to taxes and assist senior accountants in audits or tax preparation.

Assist with Payroll Processing:
-
Help in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time.

Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with labor laws.

General Ledger Management:
-
Assist in posting entries to the general ledger and maintaining accurate ledgers for various departments.

Ensure that all accounts are up to date and reconcile monthly entries.

Inventory Management:
-
Assist with managing inventory records and ensuring proper documentation of inventory transactions.

Help monitor stock levels and costs, providing reports on inventory movements.

Administrative Support:

Provide administrative support to senior accountants, including filing, organizing documents, and other related tasks.

Maintain and organize financial documents in an orderly manner, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance with audit requirements.

Support Internal Controls:

Assist in ensuring the company’s accounting processes adhere to internal control policies.

Help identify areas for process improvements and work on initiatives to streamline accounting procedures.
