JOB DESCRIPTION – JUNIOR ARCHITECT
Job Title: Junior Architect
Job Location: Infantry Road, Bangalore
Job Type: Full-Time
Open Positions – 3 members
We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Architect to join our growing team.
Position Overview: As a Junior Architect at DPGinteriors, you will work closely with the founder and the client to support the design, planning, and implementation of interior projects. You will assist with creating design concepts, drafting plans, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about architecture, interior design, and working in a collaborative, creative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conceptualizing and designing interior spaces based on client requirements and project specifications.
- Prepare architectural drawings, floor plans, and elevations using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.).
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather measurements for design accuracy.
- Prepare presentation materials, including mood boards, renderings, and 3D models.
- Research materials, products, and furniture options to support design decisions.
- Assist in coordinating with consultants (engineers, contractors, etc.) to ensure smooth project execution.
- Stay up to date with architectural and interior design trends, building codes, and sustainable design practices.
- Help manage project timelines, deadlines, and budgets under the supervision of senior team members.
- Support client presentations and meetings as needed.
- Conduct supervision visits to site, on the projects undertaken.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- 1-3 years of professional experience in architecture, interior design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, construction processes, and interior design principles.
- A solid understanding of space planning, material selection, and design documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Spoken languages (any 3) – Kannada, Tamil, English, Hindi, Malayalam and Telugu.
- Experience in 3D rendering software (e.g., 3DS Max, Rhino, V-Ray, Lumion).
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and green building certifications (e.g., LEED).
- Prior experience with commercial or residential interior projects.
