Job Overview
A Junior Engineer Drafting and Quantity Survey is responsible for preparing technical drawings, assisting in project cost estimation, and ensuring accurate quantity calculations. This role requires proficiency in drafting software, analytical skills, and knowledge of construction materials and cost estimation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Drafting & Technical Drawings
Create and modify 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software.
Develop construction layouts, structural details, and MEP drawings as required.
Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and site data.
2. Quantity Surveying & Estimation
Conduct quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment based on drawings.
Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates for construction projects.
Assist in tender documentation and cost analysis reports.
3. Project Coordination & Documentation
Maintain records of drawings, revisions, and estimation reports.
Coordinate with architects, site engineers, and procurement teams for material requirements.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
4. Site Visits & Quality Checks
Visit construction sites to verify project execution as per drawings.
Assist in cross-checking material usage and preventing cost overruns.
Support senior engineers in progress monitoring and reporting.
