Position: Junior Planning Engineer
Location: Head Office, Noida (with occasional travel to various sites as required)
Reports to: Planning Manager
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team at our head office in Noida. The ideal candidate will support the Planning Manager in various aspects of project planning, estimation, budgeting, and coordination. This role involves working on multiple projects simultaneously and may require travel to project sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:Project Planning and Scheduling:
- Assist in creating detailed project schedules, timelines, and work breakdown structures (WBS).
- Monitor and update project progress against the schedule.
- Identify and report delays or deviations to the Planning Manager.
Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
- Support in preparing cost estimates and budgets for new and ongoing projects.
- Assist in tracking project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
- Provide insights on cost variations and suggest corrective measures.
Data Collection and Reporting:
- Gather and analyze data from project sites to update progress reports.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports for review.
- Maintain accurate records of all planning and scheduling activities.
Coordination with Site Teams:
- Collaborate with site teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Ensure effective communication between the head office and project sites.
- Provide support for resolving planning-related issues at sites.
Compliance and Quality:
- Ensure all planning and reporting activities adhere to organizational standards.
- Assist in implementing best practices in project planning and management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, or related roles. (Freshers with relevant academic projects/internships are encouraged to apply.)
- Skills:
- Proficiency in project planning software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel to project sites as per business requirements.
