Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Junior Procurement Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in store management and procurement processes. The Junior Procurement Engineer will be responsible for generating purchase orders, coordinating with vendors, and assisting in production planning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchase Order Generation: Generate purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner based on inventory requirements and production schedules.
Vendor Coordination: Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
Follow-Up: Follow up with vendors to track order status, resolve any delivery issues, and ensure on-time delivery of materials.
Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting stock checks, and identifying reorder points to prevent stockouts.
Production Planning Support: Collaborate with production and planning teams to assess material requirements and plan procurement activities accordingly.
Documentation: Maintain procurement documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, and vendor contracts, in an organized manner.
Cost Monitoring: Monitor procurement costs and identify opportunities to optimize purchasing processes and reduce expenses.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that procured materials meet quality standards and specifications, working closely with quality control teams when necessary.
Vendor Relationship Management: Cultivate positive relationships with vendors, fostering open communication and resolving any issues or disputes in a professional manner.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulatory requirements, in all procurement activities.
Qualifications:
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in store management and procurement roles, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with procurement software and tools.
Detail-Oriented: Keen attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues from various departments to achieve common goals.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions.
Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
