We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Software Tester to join our dynamic QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing test cases, identifying software bugs, and ensuring the overall quality of our applications. This role is perfect for individuals who have a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for software quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:- Execute test cases (manual and automated) to ensure software functionality and usability.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand project requirements.
- Perform regression, functional, and system testing for new features and bug fixes.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of test plans, test scripts, and test data.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman (if applicable).
- Support performance and security testing efforts.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 0-2 years of experience in software testing (fresh graduates are welcome to apply).
- Basic understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Familiarity with bug-tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Selenium).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of basic SQL queries and database testing is a plus.
- Experience with automation testing (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.
